Who we are

Joanna and Matt Murphy are a husband-wife team and the founders of North Country Vintage Rentals. They reside in Clinton Corners, NY, just a few miles from their showroom in the Millbrook area. In addition to their 2000 sq.ft. showroom in a historic church, they maintain a warehouse in Pleasant Valley. NCVR is centrally located and serves the Hudson Valley, Berkshires, Catskills, CT, and Westchester.

Joanna and Matt’s inspiration comes from their love of music and everything vintage and stylish. The company’s namesake is Bob Dylan’s “Girl From the North Country,” and each inventory item is named after a song, album or artist. Amongst their treasures, you’ll find an extensive vintage, mismatched tabletop collection; a mix of vintage and modern furnishings; and unique props and architectural items. Some of Joanna and Matt’s favorite things to do together are road tripping; stumbling across charming inns, restaurants, and shops; foraging and decorating their old farmhouse (add adding to NCVR’s collection, of course); and modeling a super strong work ethic for their young daughter.

NCVR’s mission is to assist you in creating an authentic, timeless design for your most special events and projects, whether intimate or grand, while being true to your unique personal style. As their small family business has evolved, Joanna and Matt have met and established strong relationships with the most talented event pros in the Hudson Valley and surrounding areas. They are genuinely grateful to work with these creatives and would be thrilled to connect you and assist in pulling together a truly memorable event!
